The Roots of Our Peace
Keys To Peace began in the heart of the Upper Florida Keys, where Denise Downing, Mari-Etta Stoner, and Mimi Greek found a shared vision for compassionate connection. What started as a meditation group evolved into a powerful catalyst for peace-building.
Denise, a retired attorney, led the establishment of Keys To Peace as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Her dream of bringing Tibetan Buddhist monks to the community was joined by Ron Cole’s commitment to the U.S. Department of Peace. Today, we carry that original vision into a new chapter of growth and service.
